»This only proves that it's always worth submitting your work because you never ever know! I think the best thing about OpenAd is the briefs and the chance to work for a real client. Even if you don't win, you still get professional feedback on how to improve your work. That's a great learning experience.«

»I was totally bowled over - honestly never imagining I'd win one pitch, let alone both. I think the online agency environment makes a lot of sense - for my part, I didn't have a book when I discovered OpenAd and it was great to be able to have a shot at some briefs without having to elbow my way into the industry first.«

»The first impression I had of OpenAd was one of absolute professionalism. Their constant support and enthusiasm make me feel as part of a team.
I have been working in the design industry for more than 17 years and what I enjoy the most in this profession is the creation of corporate identities. That is why winning the pitch 'Renewed Corporate Identity for SRC.SI' made me proud and gave me such tremendous satisfaction.
I think OpenAd is a system that will revolutionize the world of advertising, demonstrating today how the ad industry will work in the not too distant future.«

Winning that pitch is something special. It's for the first time that I won a "real client" pitch on Openad.net and you know what they say - the first time you never forget.«

It's a tough industry to get into and I know that there is so much talent out there waiting to be unearthed, so I would encourage anyone thinking of submitting an idea to go for it - if you believe your idea will work, it probably will.«

»I think OpenAd is an excellent media for young, creative people from all over the world who want to become part of the advertising industry. If it weren't for this site, it would be really hard to have access to international pitches while working independently.
The OpenAd Team has created a system from which all the active parties benefit and I think this is fantastic.
It is an honour for me to have won the pitch of such an important brand as Bounty, and it really moves me to think that as an Argentinean my ideas are useful and reach people from other countries with different cultures, for example, as in this case, reaching housewives in Puerto Rico.«

»When I first came up with this idea I felt that I was onto a winner, however, getting it from my head onto paper was really hard and working alone made it that much harder. To win though is great and makes it all worthwhile. I've been stuck in an office for most of the summer and more than anything this is what I want to do, I want to make ads, so being able to make ads and getting a bit of a reward of it is great, hopefully I can win a few more and it will help land that first job. I've always said that Openad Talent is a brilliant idea and even more so during these summer months, it certainly keeps the creative juices flowing, so thanks Openad!«

»I am delighted to be a winner in the OpenAd Talent Jeans pitch. I could really let my imagination run with this exciting and contemporary brief. I especially enjoyed considering all of the brands communication with the consumer from start to finish and selling my idea in the description and details sections.
OpenAd.net and more precisely OpenAdTalent is fantastic for undergraduates like me, who can get work seen by professional judges with years of experience, whilst gaining specialised advice from the OpenAd team on an individual level.«

»Thank you. It has been such a pleasant experience to participate in a global pitch. I am delighted that the fine executives at Gillette have seen fit to select my work to potentially support their excellent, superior, best Fusion shaving product. (Note to Gillette clients: Openad.net has my mailing address, so you can ship those free samples directly to my office.) Contrary to my initial expectations, participating in this electronic Openad.net pitch was actually quite similar to many of the face-to-face pitches I've made over the years. For example, at Doyle Dane Bernbach in N.Y., one of my top client executives often took our concept and storyboard presentations back to his home at night to review the work with his spouse. In their hot tub. With a lovely glass of champagne. (100% true story!) Now, I am not saying that is the same evaluative approach Gillette or OpenAd.net executives take with our online submissions. But I, too, have heard the rumors...«

»What a delight to receive a winning email for my Gillette TV idea. It's a huge vote confidence and personal recognition, not to mention the actual prize money.
For me OpenAd is the perfect outlet for all my creative ideas, whether in the Marketplace or in direct response to briefs. And with such premium clients accessing the work & posting briefs, this way of working benefits everyone and can only become increasingly popular.
Thank you OpenAd.«

»'Congratulations' is one of the best openings to an email that I can think of. We heard about OpenAd through the college and thought it was certainly worth a shot. It is a really good opportunity to put your work out there and see how it is received. OpenAd costs nothing, so what did we have to lose? »OpenAd is a platform which has put people like me front stage. My creative work, small or big, was always appreciated by people whom I showed it to. But OpenAd has given it a recognition on a global scale.
I feel really proud and more confident about my options in making a career in advertising.
OpenAd's pioneer idea of getting clients meet creative works across the globe at a phenomenally low price is really catching the nerve and making agencies run for their penny. Great job. Keep it up. My best wishes to Open-Ad.«

»As an Australian Art Director living in rural Switzerland who only speaks English, OpenAd has been a great discovery for me. Few organisations would provide the same opportunity for creatives to 'keep their eye in' from such a remote location as the middle of the Swiss Alps as OpenAd… and to provide a little extra cash too!
It's for these reasons (including the extra cash) that I'm so proud to be chosen as a runner-up for this brief. Thanks OpenAd!«

»I first heard about OpenAd from my tutor at the university. He recommended it to me as a way to test my ideas research on live briefs; I'm currently completing my masters in Design and Art Direction. After learning about the dynamics of the site, and how it works, I got really excited about the project. I didn't think I'll win, realizing that the pitch is a worldwide competition, so I was a bit skeptical about my chances against professionals from all over the world.
When I won, I didn't know it at the beginning, mainly because of my email spam filter that blocked the pitch-result email, so I was shocked to learn about it in a casual email, sent a week after, about something totally different. It was funny, but one of the best shocking news I ever got. I think its one of the best things that can happen to any art director, to win an international pitch against other contestants from all over the world. It is a great moral booster and portfolio addition. In the future, I hope I can contribute to more pitches on OpenAd.«

»First of all I would like to say thank you to Ana Asselborn for her great assistance when submitting to the online pitch; as a beginner I had many doubts.
In this Axis pitch, my work called "Words" tried to build a thread of images that simultaneously show words supporting those visuals, awakening other feelings and meanings about daily life. Not only did I want to show images but also 'take' people to a different place, a place that would be the ideal one in their lives. Even if the brief was not very clear, I thought the spot should be.«

»Whenever I participate in a new pitch at OpenAd.net, I'm always thinking about the same thing - my anger, in case my proposal won't win. Many times your Creative Customer Services Department had to deal with that, but it's the way I feel. If I felt indifferent, it would be time to look for another way of earning a living. I know these are just ideas we are talking about, and even if my family doesn't quite understand what I am doing, it is what I chose to do. And that is what matters.
This new recognition will bring my friends' "Well done" and my relatives' "Which little drawing was it?", and, for sure, I will grab the next brief even more enthusiastically and repeat the same story; favouring an ulcer or having one more reason to toast with friends and family. And that's the way it's going to be until someone prescribes me a good antacid.«
10 September 2005
»Winning this pitch makes me feel good and gives me energy to keep on moving. This is the second time I've won and I am very proud of this.
Since I worked with OpenAd I had opportunity to meet a lot of people, people around the world, creatives, psychologists, students, inventors… lots of different people with a common thing: their creativity.
Many times Argentina is recognized by the talents of her creatives, but usually all the adverts come from Buenos Aires. OpenAd gave me the chance to show my ideas from a small city in Argentina, Córdoba. And if that is possible, imagine all the hidden talents from other parts of the world. I invite everyone who is interested in creativity and advertising to participate, to enjoy and to test their capability in the challenges provided by OpenAd. I assure you that you will enjoy and discover that winning is just a small circumstance in a big process full of passion.«

»Working on Safeguard pitch was really interesting and challenging. Challenging because our ideas had to reach out to the household-mothers and convince them to buy this product. It's a combination of hard work and interest that helped us to come up with a simple idea.
I was on cloud nine when we were intimated that we won this pitch. It is always a great feeling when good work gets recognized and awarded, especially at an International level.
We are truly grateful to Openad.net for giving us this opportunity.«

»Winning a pitch on OpenAd was something that I always looked forward to.
It means more than just winning another award because the idea has to beat the best creatives from across the world. »We've been working together as a creative team in the creative department of the Manchester advertising agency BJL for the past 3 years, where we've produced both above and through the line work that's been both effective on sales and in creative awards shows.
As this is the first brief we've submitted to OpenAd working as a team, we're very happy to have come runners-up. Once we'd downloaded the brief it seemed the best way to promote the healthy snack side of the crisps was to set them up against other things you would normally feel guilty doing.
The great thing about OpenAd is that it gives you the opportunity to do something for clients or products that are a bit different to the clients that we normally work on. And it's great getting to pit your wits against a worldwide group of creatives in competition.«

»OpenAd.net is simply brilliant. Usually working in agencies, you get the opportunity to bounce ideas around with the other half of your team, or with creative directors. However, the challenge I find with OpenAd.net is to see if you alone can crack a brief. »Working in this project showed us what we could do as a team and how we can get good ideas working hard, with good energy and above all willingness.
OpenAd gave us the chance to show who we are and what we can do, trusting our instinct and our experience as young creatives.
Having being runner-up is for us the best award ever for our work and the good energy that this team has. Working in OpenAd is a personal challenge, because most of the times thinking about an existent brand restricts the creativity to what is already done, or what we already know. With this structure, we have to think new paths that led us to a functional result and that for us, as a team, looks really interesting and fun.«

I always try to think up ideas that work everywhere. And at OpenAd you're almost forced to think that way, which is good. What I also like about OpenAd is that there are new briefs every few weeks. That way you can pick and choose the briefs that you think are suitable for you. So I am very much looking forward to competing again and I hope I can keep up the good work. »OpenAd.net is a fantastic opportunity to work on briefs that you may not normally get to work on. There's also something extremely gratifying about having an idea bought and receiving the money directly! It's refreshing to be able to sell ideas directly to a client. How many times have you heard "Great idea, but the client will never buy it?«

»Long live OpenAd! Winning with both submitted ideas the first pitch of the new year, on the new site, surely gives us a kick-start (especially after winning the last pitch of the last year, on the old site).
Our proposals wanted to prove that "corporate advertising for a management of investments holding", even though it may sound scary, does not have to be conventional and plain. Businessmen are people just like everybody else, and have the right to enjoy inspiring ads.
As always – a big thank you to the OpenAd team for their last minute support!«
»What we definitely love at OpenAd (not including the fact that we can really work in pyjamas) is the quality of the work you are all doing there – from the well written and concise briefs, to the last minute adjustments. You are the skilled-and-efficient-yet-never-arrogant colleagues we never had :-)
Cheers for everyone we met until now at OpenAd and cheers for everyone we didn't met yet.«

»I love the concept of OpenAd.net and this was a fantastic brief. I asked my much younger brother Jake what would make him eat healthier food - he said with conviction that bribery always works. I wanted something that let kids make a healthy choice on their own terms rather than being patronised and dictated to. Parents have been bribing kids for years and the thought of switching roles with the kid being in charge was very strong.«

»I started F1 Advertising 3 years back. Prior to this I was with Team Saatchi, a division of Saatchi & Saatchi India. As a creative hotshop (based in Bangalore, the hub of IT and BPO in India), F1 Advertising gets to do some interesting work for local and MNC clients in India. However, my mission has always been to prove our abilities on a global platform. OpenAd.net is indeed the stepping stone to this and gives small agencies like mine a global exposure. I hope our success gives other agencies in India the impetus to participate and win at OpenAd pitches.«

»I'm really happy to win this pitch because from the beginning I considered Open.Ad.net as a great opportunity for talented and unknown young creatives to show up. Though, some of my friends, also young creatives were seriously doubting their chances to win. I believed in this idea from the moment when one of my friends, seeing the print ad, said: "Wow, why didn't I upload any ideas before?"«

»OpenAd is very appealing to me because I can be involved in the advertising process without having direct contact with other human beings or the microscopic organisms they inevitably harbour.
Researching teenage girls and getting into their state of mind is also something I take great pleasure from and I was naturally delighted to come runner-up. Ever since I was declared 2nd fastest in the infants I have always been more comfortable with being a runner-up than the unnecessary stress and attention that inevitably comes to the winner.«

»OpenAd is an efficient additional new business channel for us. It creates a perfect market in the sense that clients are presented with ideas which could be from a global agency or a one man band. They make their decision based on the quality of the idea rather than the reputation of the agency so it's a level playing field for all contributors. Success will lead to a stream of passive income from licencing the idea, at the very least, plus possible involvement in its development and production.«

»OpenAd has brilliantly managed to make the advertising world a smaller place. It has OpenAd doors for creatives everywhere to do what sometime back was unthinkable: to present their work to clients all over the world. And it has put at the client's disposal, the world's largest creative team. It feels great to be able to do work on some of the best known brands in the world.«

»OpenAd.net was mentioned to me by a friend as one of those sites that 'you should have a look at some time'. I did indeed have a look at it and I'm very glad I did. I am incredibly pleased and excited by my win, and it's very nice to find that people are willing to look outside of the usual channels for a good idea. I hope that however my idea is developed it encourages other companies to take the chance and see what they could find.«

»I feel really happy about having taken a part in this pitch in OpenAd.net, the first time I saw it I thought it was interesting and I decided to participate immediately. It was worth staying up all night because I can see the results now. Winning this international pitch is great and also competing among other 140 ideas sent by creatives from all over the world.
Thanks OpenAd.net for giving me and all students the opportunity to work in the creative world.
I am making a 'clamor for' all students of the world that visit this website for them to motivate themselves and participate.

»Aaaaaah! I am overwhelmed to be the winner of the 'Teen Magazine Goes Online' pitch. It was one I was excited about from the start and the concept was influenced by the infamous peer pressure of my schoolgirl days. »This is the second pitch I have entered, the first one was commended, which made me more determined to get something even better this time! I have worked with a few fashion retail clients, many of whom don't see the great opportunity they have for some really strong branding and messaging around a big central idea – they are much more concerned with price messaging. This was my chance to try something different out…
I like Openad because it gives you a great chance to try your hand at campaigns you might not get the chance to work on otherwise, and with a much freer rein!«

»I think the service is great. It's a great opportunity to work on live briefs with the added bonus of financial reward. It's like welcome to the real world!
Respective of being the winner and best pitch of the month, it's great. I'm 'over the moon!'. It's confirmation of the importance of having faith in your ideas. Especially when working against the clock timewise, generating ideas over a timespan of less than 48 hours whilst working with a creative partner residing in another country in another time zone. I guess that's the power of communication and collaboration, being able to get it right with distance being no obstacle.«

»By the way, I think OpenAd.net is a terrific idea, because, on the sellers' side, it lets us submit many great ideas that never saw the light because almost always they were considered too bold for the local market audience. Now, with OpenAd's global scope, the possibilities are endless. And on the buyers' side, the scope is ever greater, because OpenAd lets them get original, unexpected creative solutions to their communications needs, via the contribution of some of the world's best creative minds. They get creative approaches that are fresh and surprising, not constrained to local (and mental) boundaries.
Finally, during my long career in advertising, I have won many creative awards in important advertising festivals, including Cannes, The New York Festivals, The OpenShow and FIAP (the IberoAmerican Advertising Festival), among others.«
